Cork Veneer pattern clutch by artist Sam Reynolds - Value $410

If you go to Sam Reynold's site (which I recommend, below) you will see that this clutch purse is unique in a series of purses that he made from unusual materials. So here we have another TLC Exclusive item. I love it when that happens. It's so beautiful too:

About this purse:
Cork Veneer Pattern Paper, Bloodwood and Wenge accents. This clutch is made from some beautiful cork veneer pattern paper I found in Paris. The clutch is veneered both inside and out and left in a natural finish, so it has the natural soft cork "feel". The ends are butterfly wing shaped and open wide to allow easy access without spilling contents. The top is sized to feel good in the hand and be easy to carry. The opposing crescent thumb/forefinger latch allows one hand opening of the friction fit closure. The clutch is hinged with wood dowels with an added veneer covered leather inside hinge. The clutch is designed for special occasions and to fit cellphone, wallet, with room for other incidentals. The ends are designed to allow the clutch to sit upright.

If you are thinking about bidding on this purse, or even if you are not, I recommend checking out that site. One of the great pleasures (among many) of being Silent Auction Chair is that I get to see the way people express what they do. That's a good one.
